In this age, it is a good idea to keep certain terms and ideologies at the top of your mind, particularly since governments and the media are deliberately using these methods against their populations to coerce people to a pre-determined goal. The two tools I want to expand on are: social engineering and technocracy. Firstly, social engineering is a top-down effort to influence particular attitudes and social behaviors on a large scale - most often undertaken by governments, but also carried out by media, academia or private groups - in order to produce desired characteristics in a target population. On the other hand, technocracy is a movement that relies on governance by officials who are selected based on their expertise in a particular field (usually scientific or technical knowledge). Although the concept is over 100 years old, we have recently seen it in action when it appeared our nation and states were being ruled by medical officials rather than democratically elected leaders.
Technocrats had (and still have) this idea that they were better than everybody else. Some trace this mindset back to Henri de Saint-Simon, a French philosopher from around 1800. Saint-Simon is considered the father of scientism, social sciences, transhumanism and technocracy. In fact, in one of his essays, he said, “A scientist….is a man who foresees. It is because science provides the means to predict, that it is useful, and the scientists are superior to all other men.” In fact, he proposed that scientists take the place of priests in the social order!
During the time of the Great Depression, technocratic doctrine seemed to radicalise desperate young men. Its adherents claimed it would eliminate want by putting power in the hands of a capable few – not politicians, but an elite group of engineers and technicians, known as the Technocrats. Just like Marx railed against the capitalist system, so too did the Technocrats believe that the existing economic system was the root of the problem. The movement flared like a comet during the 1930’s, promising to replace a collapsing capitalist system with a non-political government of scientists and technicians. Undoubtedly, one of the most popular platforms for the system would have been the proposal that people work four hours per day, four days per week between the ages of 25 and 45! By June 1940, with the war in Europe going badly, the Canadian government suddenly announced the banning of technocracy, along with a dozen other organisations, including the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Communist Party. In the House of Commons on July 16, Prime Minister Mackenzie King defended the ban by saying one of the objectives of technocracy was to “overthrow the government and constitution of this country by force.”
As mentioned earlier, my chief concern throughout the “pandemic” has been the willingness of duly elected officials to defer to “the experts”. This, as evidenced, is a form of technocracy. In fact, it could be argued that governments have allowed technocracy to flourish during the last 18 months in order to pursue a goal of social engineering. In the UK, the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviour (SPI-B) has now admitted that the UK Government went too far in using fear to control and manipulate their citizens. As reported by The Telegraph on May 14, 2021:-
Scientists on a committee that encouraged the use of fear to control people’s behaviour during the COVID pandemic have admitted its work as “unethical” and “totalitarian”. Members of the SPI-B expressed regret about the tactics in a new book about the role of psychology in the Government’s COVID-19 response. SPI-B warned in March last year that ministers needed to increase ‘the perceived level of personal threat’ from COVID-19 because ‘a substantial number of people still do not feel sufficiently personally threatened.’
As psychiatrist Dr Peter Breggin explains, by laying confusion and uncertainty on top of fear, you can bring an individual to a state in which they can no longer think rationally. Once driven into an illogical state, they are easily manipulated. Well friend, how great it is that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
